Sunset Beach, Montego Bay. Stayed February 06. A few words sum up this hotel for me and they are brilliant, brilliant and brilliant. I've never enjoyed an holiday so much before. Everything was great about the place. The food was excellent and you could pre-book for a meal at the a la carte, Italian and Chinese restaurants. Two trips that I would recommend and one is to climb the Dunn's River Falls (you'll need your trainers) and the other is a night out at the Margaretville at night, Montego Bays top nightclub for a night to remember. Reviewers rating: 5 out of 5. Sunset Jamaica Grande, Ocho Rios. Visited January 07. The rooms were a nice size but basic and were cleaned daily. The hotel is right on the beach and many a happy hour was spent watching the cruise ships come and go. There are plenty of pools to choose from, some were quieter so you can get away from the crowds if you wanted to. The entertainment was very American but was passable and we enjoyed the BBQ night on the beach. We went out for a couple of nights, once to the local nightclub called Amnesia and later in our holiday we went to the Margaritaville nightclub which is just down the beach. You also have a choice of Chinese, Italian and Caribbean restaurants, all a la carte and both the food and the service was excellent. Reviewers rating: 5 out of 5. Beaches Boscobel, Ocho Rios. Stayed March 06. Good hotel for families but rooms weren't very clean and sheets only got changed on Tuesdays. Should be rated a two star and I wasn't impressed.
