Monica, Cambrils 4*. Visited in 2006. A small, friendly, family-run complex which adds a personal touch to everything. Rooms were pleasantly decorated and there was a small romantic restaurant. There was also a fairly new sauna and jacuzzi room. Smallish pool but the hotel is close to the beach. In my opinion the hotel would suit couples rather than families. Client's rating: 4 out of 5.

Cala Font, Salou 3*. Stayed in October 2006 with my family. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The food was good but lacked variety. Although they say it's in Salou it's actually about two miles away from the main shopping area, bars & restaurants but this suited us as we don't like a lot of noise. A good choice of hotel, particularly for families as there's plenty going on to keep the kids happy. Client's rating: 3.5 out of 5.
